I was astonished and surprised that gender inequality exists in one of the most developed countries of the world and that too on a tennis court The player, Alize Cornet, changed her T-shirt very quickly near the baseline, but she was given a code violation. If this type of inequality exists in the US, how can we expect India to have equal woman representation?

Despite the opposition raising allegations of a scam in the deal in Parliament and other forums, the government is silent on it citing security reasons. Indians have a right know about the price escalation and the reason for the denial of the deal to time-tested HAL.

Though BJP president Amit Shah is not confident about the party’s performance in the state, at least in the the forthcoming Assembly elections, the TS BJP leaders are concerned about the Centre’s soft corner towards TRS (KCR wants good ties with Centre, says Shah, DC, Sept. 1). It is clear from Mr Shah’s statement that they will not get majority in General Elections and sirf hamara saath, hamara vikaas (only with us, for our development) strategy is being applied, leaving behind the TS BJP leaders.
